Hey there,

A lot of people get ready to go into a niche. They’re super motivated.

Then they start doing keyword research and realize that there are literally hundreds of advertisers competing in their niche. What’s the deal?

Well, you don’t have to be the best marketer to succeed in a niche. You just have to be the best marketer in that niche. There might be some marketing masterminds targeting “Lasik Surgery”, but perhaps “Lasik Surgery in Boise” is a much easier niche to break into.

Besides drilling down your niche to sub-niches and even micro-niches, you can try different avenues of advertising. Rather than just AdWords, experiment with some of the following.

MSN / Yahoo Pay-Per-Click

2nd Tier Pay-Per-Click (7Search has clicks for as low as $0.01)

Pulse360 for miniature media buys on sites like USAToday.com

Pay-Per-View

Twitter and other social media

Your list

Another great idea – rather than promoting your offer directly, you can promote a general offer as a free giveaway to incentivize an opt-in. That way, not only will you have the leverage of continual contact with your lead to cross-promote similar products, they’re more likely to buy them since you’re giving valuable free content away.

Good luck!

Hey there,

Ever have a list of domains for something like pay-per-view contextual advertising, and you wanted to expand on that list of domains, just like a keyword tool?

Normally, if you want to expand on your PPV campaign, you would have to manually query Alexa and Quantcast to pull down related sites for each individual URL.

However, now you can insert your list of URLs/domains in bulk, and this script I created will scrape both Alexa and Quantcast for related domains.

Click here to access the bulk related site finder.

This quick, easy to use tool can be used for a few things.

Generating a new PPV campaign by entering authority/niche sites

Expanding a current campaign by entering sites that are working for you already

Finding sites you may want to advertise on, or JV with.

Enjoy, and thanks!

Have a huge list of domains/websites you want to target with PPV traffic, but having a difficult time deciding which ones are worth your time, and which ones are irrelevant?

When you’re dealing with pay-per-view contextual advertising, you want to be able to target some keywords, find relevant sites, and put those PPV ads up as fast as possible. You don’t want to sit around, double-checking “weird” domains and URLs.

Well, there were other methods – custom software, interfacing with Excel, etc… but they all took way more time than was necessary. There’s definitely a need for an automation tool that lets you sift through a list of sites, so here it is.

Enjoy! This should save any PPV guys a huge amount of time.

Hey there,

Split-testing and tracking are very important when it comes to internet marketing. Without one or the other, you’re not going to be finding out what is working better. Any changes you make to your advertising campaign are going to be like flying blind if you’re not making your decisions based on data.

So… without data… you’re flying blind.

If you want to split-test offers by direct linking or PPV (pay-per-view, also known as CPV, or cost-per-view), you’re going to be throwing valuable data away, since you can’t do sub-id tracking…

Sadly, I wasn’t able to find something that would solve this issue… so I coded my own, and I’m giving it away.

Installation instructions are included right in the file.
